Color harmony from the Fibonacci sequence

Pick any color. We derive a harmonious palette using the same mathematical ratios found in sunflowers, seashells, and galaxies.

Fibonacci offsets: 5, 8, 13, 21 × multiplier

How it works

The Fibonacci sequence appears everywhere in nature. We use it to find colors that feel naturally connected.

01

Convert to HSB

Your base color is converted to Hue, Saturation, and Brightness — a color space that maps naturally to human perception.

02

Apply Fibonacci offsets

The numbers 5, 8, 13, 21 are multiplied by your chosen multiplier to create hue offsets.

03

Rotate the hue

Each offset is added to the base hue, wrapping at 360°, to produce four new complementary hues.

04

Vary saturation

Saturation is slightly adjusted on each derived color so the palette feels cohesive rather than mechanical.
